Oakland Park’s tough 6YO gelding Cappo D’oro will line up in the Western Australian Cup over 3200 metres at Ascot tomorrow. It will be his first time over the distance, so will be an interesting assignment for him.
He has been in fine form this campaign and is primed for the run after a last start second in the Listed Pinjarra Cup beaten 1.1 lengths and the start prior running third in the Listed Bunbury Cup beaten 1 length.
He has drawn well in barrier three and will be ridden by Peter hall who is no stranger to winning Cup races.
Also going around tomorrow is the exciting unbeaten Rogano 3YO filly Catherine Wheel. She will be out to make it three for three. Trained by Karen Kersley this progressive filly has already collected $103,385 in prize money and Westspeed bonuses from her two starts.
Good luck to our partners.
