Back to back for Oakland Park’s Policiere

The Oakland Park bred, and part-owned 2YO filly Policiere made it back-to-back wins on Saturday at Ascot with her tough win against the odds.

She drew wide and had to burn some fuel to cross the field early to take up a forward position outside of the favourite Storm Whisper.  Upon straightening both horses were locked in a genuine battle to the line. At the 200-metre mark, it looked like the favourite had her measure but this tough filly by Safeguard out of the More Than Ready mare Magnifique Lass dug deep to fight back and win in impressive style.

As trainer Dan Pearce comment post-race “she just has the will to win”.

Her record now stands at 3 starts for 2 wins and an unlucky fourth on debut. Her three starts have earned her $85,400 in prize money and another $81,400 in Westspeed bonuses, highlighting the tremendous opportunity for owners when they buy Westspeed horses.

Congratulations to our partners who will have a lot of fun with this exciting filly.
