Our tough stayer Cappo D’Oro makes his return to the race track on Saturday in the $100,000 Listed Detonator Stakes over 1800 metres at Ascot.
His last start was the Group 2 Perth Cup early January where he ran seventh beaten 6.3 lengths. Last campaign saw him race well taking out the Listed Towton Stakes as well as running second in the Group 2 R.J. Peters Stakes and third in the Listed ATA Stakes.
He is a very consistent galloper and we expect him to have a sold autumn campaign.
Good luck to our partners.

Trainer Fred Kersley is buoyant a freshen-up will prove the key for consistent stayer Cappo D’oro as he eyes his second Listed race win in the Detonator Stakes (1800m) at Ascot on Saturday.
Cappo D’oro returns following his game seventh in the Perth Cup last month, which ended a successful campaign that included a win in the Listed Towton Cup.
The six-year-old has nine rivals for Saturday’s $100,000 event, which includes Perth Cup winner Star Exhibit.
Kersley said Cappo D’oro couldn’t quite measure up in the Perth Cup, but felt the Detonator Stakes was a suitable return race.
“He couldn’t get the job done in the Perth Cup,” he told The Races WA.
“He’s been freshened since then and comes back to the 1800, in what I think is a very open race.
“He’s on the fresh side, but I think he can run a nice race if things go his way.”
Cappo D’oro will be aided by the services of in-form jockey Mitchell Pateman, who is fresh off wins in the Albany Cup and Cyril Flower Stakes over the past fortnight.
TABtouch has Cappo D’oro rated a $5 second favourite behind Star Exhibit ($2.50), while Like A Butterfly ($6), Elegant Blast ($6) and Let’s Twist ($8.50) are the other runners in single figures.
