Dun With The Blues Breezes to Effortless Toodyay Cup Win

Oakland Park Stud’s Dun With The Blues has continued her promising form, taking out the TABTouch Toodyay Cup at Belmont Park in effortless fashion yesterday.

In what looked like little more than a training gallop for rider Clint Johnson-Porter, the Four-year-old Dundeel mare was dropped out to a clear last for the majority of the race until Johnson-Porter was done with his opposition, finally allowing his mount to take off from the 400m meter mark to be 5 deep at the top of the straight.

Under hands and heels riding,  Johnson-Porter simply cruised past the field in second gear to win by 2.1 lengths in her third career victory and most impressive one to date.

Johnson-Porter has been on Dun With The Blues every start this campaign, which has produced 3 wins and 2 seconds for trainers Dan and Ben Pearce.

Congratulation to all connections.
