A big day at Ascot or Oakland Park, with five runners on the day. Nice to have runners in the two Listed features events.
Starting with the features, we have the exciting unbeaten 3YO Unikat running in the $100,000 Fairetha Stakes over 1400 metres. Own by a syndicate of ladies including family members, the ride so far has been fun. Trained by Darren Mc Auliffe this son of Universal Ruler looks to be a progressive type capable of going a lot further.
In the Listed $100,000 Listed Ascot Gold Cup we will be represented by two runners, last start Northam Cup winner Pushin’s Shapes and Cappo D’Oro.
The 6YO Viscount gelding Pushin’s Shapes is in stellar form this campaign and if he has continued to train on since his last run, he will be very competitive in this race.
Likewise, with Cappo D’Oro, he goes into the race off two seconds over 1600 metres this campaign. The step up to 1800 metre will suit him. Hopefully a Oakland Park quinella.
Our fourth runner is the Rogano 4YO gelding In Love With Paris, who returned to racing two weeks ago with a superb effort running second beaten 0.8 of a length to the talented Stageman. His second up record boast a win and second, so we are looking for him to go one better tomorrow.
Another Rogano rounds out our day when the 5YO mare Rogan Scent runs in the “get out stakes”.
Good luck to our partners.
