Lest We Forget

Our thoughts today are with our brave men and women who lost their lives defending our freedom. We also acknowledge the men and women who serve today.

Fittingly, Oakland Park has Pushin’ Shapes going around in the $80,000 Diggers Cup over 1800 metres. He is a winner of the distance and the step from 1600 metres at his last run in the Listed Old Comrade Stakes will suit him.

It is a good field and he will need to improve off his last run.

Our other runner on the day is the 3YO Helmet gelding Beethoven, who drops back 300 metres when he tackles the 1000 metre benchmark 62+ event. Although he hasn’t shown up in his first to runs back from a spell, he will be nearing peak fitness for this run. The question will be if trainer Dan Morton has been able to freshen to run a fast 1000 metres.

Good luck to our partners and may you all have a great Anzac Day.
