Lite’n In My Veins returns on Saturday at Ascot

Three runners for the Oakland Park racing team in the $100,000 Listed Raconteur Stakes over 1500 metres.

Our exciting Group winning 3YO gelding Lite’n In My Veins returns to racing in the Raconteur Stakes, which is one of the important lead-up races for horses heading towards the WA Derby.

Lite’n In My Veins, by Henrythenavigator won the Group 3 Lee Steere Stakes at his very first race start early December. He was produced a month later at Ascot in a 3YO open event was able to win again.

He is a very talented young galloper that should have a good autumn campaign.

Also in the Raconteur Stakes, is the Viscount 3YO Pushin’ Shapes, who comes off a third place beaten 1.8 lengths in the $100,000 Listed Breeders Stakes at Bunbury.

Placed at Group 3 level over the summer carnival, he is on the track for a start in the WA Derby.

Our third runner, Saxophonist, will be having his first start for new trainer Karen Kersley. This son of Saxon is stakes placed over the summer carnival and we will be looking for a forward showing on Saturday.

Our other runner on the day is the Viscount gelding Magic Rocket, a last start winner at Ascot over 2150 metres – he goes around in a bench mark 62 + event over 2200 metres and will be very competitive.
