Developing three-year-old Lite’n In My Veins bounced back from a last-start defeat to win The Ramelius Resources Trophy (1600m) today.

The hot $2 favourite charged home from last on the turn, gaining a dream run towards the inside to beat Hedlander Boy by 1 ½ lengths.

Lite’n In My Veins won his first two starts before running fourth to All Gee in the Raconteur Stakes (1500m) two weeks ago.

“I thought he got the job done,” trainer Fred Kersley said.

“He is a work in progress.

“Expectation has been placed on the horse since his first race start.

“What people need to realise is he’s a young, green horse that needs race experience.”
