Massimo, our exciting 3YO son of Sessions, made it back to back wins Saturday at Ascot snatching victory on the line in the Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Plate over 1100 metres.
It was a game performance by this progressive young galloper backing up seven days from his last start. Trainer Adam Durrant left the decision to start to the death knock, but couldn’t find a reason not to run, with the decision being made a little easier by the fact if he didn’t run he would have been going into the Listed Placid Ark Stakes off three weeks which wouldn’t have been ideal.
Massimo is building strong resume having had 5 starts for 3 wins and 1 second and has amassed $279,300 in prizemoney and Westspeed bonuses, which showcases the attractive opportunities for owners to buy locally to take advantage of the Westspeed scheme.
Massimo’s sire Sessions stands this season at Oakland Park for $5,500.
