The victory of Crown Prosecutor by Medaglia d’Oro in the New Zealand Derby (Gr 1, 2400m) on Saturday was a fantastic result for Oakland Park, as we now own the dam Riptide.

A $50,000 purchase at the 2017 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, Crown Prosecutor (3 c Medaglia d’Oro – Riptide by Exceed And Excel) has now won twice, both of them at Group level. His record stands at seven starts for prize-money earnings of NZ$644,625.

Oakland Park purchased Riptide at the 2017 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $150,000. Crown Prosecutor is one of four winners for Riptide.

Riptide is a three-quarter sister to Group 2-winning juvenile and first season sire Headwater, Kulgrinda and a half-sister to Listed winner Cross Current (Keltrice).

Oakland Park will offer Crown Prosecutor’s half-sister by Street Boss (Street Sense) through Blue Gum Farm (Lot 414) at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale on Tuesday.

Riptide also has a weanling colt by Frosted (Tapit) and is in foal to Western Australian stallion Demerit (Lonhro).
