Oakland Park sells The Front Bar

The Oakland Park team will look forward to watching the progress of the exciting Sessions 3YO filly The Front Bar when she competes in Melbourne for her new connections.

Exciting filly The Front Bar has been sold to interstate interests.

The Adam Durrant-trained three-year-old caught the eye of bloodstock agent Mark Pilkington after recording five brilliant wins from her eight starts.

The daughter of Sessions is unbeaten from three starts at Ascot this campaign after also flashing potential with back-to-back Belmont wins in winter.

Pilkington and fellow bloodstock agent Damon Gabbedy brokered the deal with Oakland

Park Stud’s Neville Duncan, the breeder and owner of The Front Bar, pictured above winning at Ascot.

“We’re very respectful of the WA form and she’s been on the radar for a while,” Pilkington said. “The deal came together with the old WA connection between myself, Damon Gabbedy and Neville and Susan Duncan.

“We’re leaving her with Adam for the short term and she’ll race in the Summer Scorcher on Perth Cup day. Then she’ll come over east to the Ballarat stables of Tony and Calvin McEvoy.

“Hopefully she’ll go on with it and perform in high-speed races in the future.”
