Last start Narrogin Cup winner Pushin’ Shapes will step up from 1900 metres to 2200 metres for the first time tomorrow at Ascot when he competes in the benchmark 72+ stayers race.
He was a dominant winner of the Narrogin Cup and gives every indication he will have issues running out the 2200 metres.
On Sunday, our very talented 4YO gelding Lite’N In My Veins opens his campaign in the $125,000 Listed Northam Stakes over 1100 metres. This is a very good race with a field of talented gallopers competing.
Lite’N In My Veins goes into the race with a 50% win to run ratio, including two Group 3 wins and a Listed win. He is not expected to win first up, but trainer Fred Kersley wouldn’t be surprised if he ran a cheeky race and be around the place at the finish.
Good luck to our partners in both horses.
