Oakland Park’s Rogano has a day out!

What a day for Oakland Park’s resident stallion Rogano with six runners for two winners at Ascot, and two winners and a second at Kalgoorlie.

Even more impressive is the fact three winners had won at their previous start.

Our first Rogano winner at Ascot was the talented In Love With Paris, a 3YO gelding out of the Viscount mare Paris Cracker. His record now stands at 6 starts for 3 wins and a 1 second.

Taxagano showed he is a very smart galloper making it a hat trick of wins from four starts this campaign. Trainer Fred Kersley is keen to step him up from today’s distance of 1400 metres to 1800 metres. Taxagano is out of the Carry A Smile mare Taxa.

Up at Kalgoorlie, the Peter Fernie trained Too Clever notched up his fifth win from 11 starts, which has also included 5 second places.

Our second Kalgoorlie winner is the lightly raced Where’s Wally making it two for two at this track. His record stands at 10 starts for 4 wins and two places. Where’s Wally looks to be in a for a good Kalgoorlie season.

Rod Brown also trains the Rogano 4YO mare Transitional who ran second today. She hasn’t been able to salute the judge yet, but she has been very competitive having been placed in 50% of her 14 races. We are confident she will break that maiden at her next start or two.

Rogano, a full brother to champion stallion Not A Single Doubt, has shown he is capable of producing city class gallopers who can sprint and stay. His current winners to runners strike rate stands at the very respectable 50% which includes three stakes placed performers.

Rogano is excellent value at $8,800 (GST inclusive) – call Neville Duncan on 0417 200 097 for a booking.
