Oakland Park’s Rogano had a day out at Ascot yesterday with two three-year geldings winning impressively.
In Love With Paris made it three in row when he proved too strong in the Amelia Park Handicap over 1500 metres. His record now starts at 7 starts for 4 wins and a second and $267,000 in prize money and Westspeed bonuses.
Trained by Fred Kersley and ridden well by Paul Harvey he won by 1.25 lengths and looks to be more than capable of working his way to open class.
The second winner was Roganella having his first run following a spell. He was ridden well by jockey Chris Parnham who gave him perfect ride.
Roganella’s record stands at 9 starts for 2 wins, 3 seconds and 1 third. He has won $165,700 in prize money and Westspeed bonuses.
Trained by Dan Morton who is keen to take advantage of the Westspeed bonus scheme so will place him to maximise this opportunity this campaign.
Rogano is proving he can produce tough metropolitan class racehorses capable of sprinting and getting up to middle distance.
Rogano has a winners to runners ratio of 50% and will stand the 2018 season at $8,800.
