Sapphire Street Strikes First Up

Diminutive Oakland Park 3YO Sapphire Street has recorded a second career victory, winning first up at Ascot Saturday in the Amelia Park Plate over 1100m.

Coming off a strong trial win, the Dan Morton trained Street Boss filly looked to be in a slight bit of trouble on turn three back on the fence, but a brilliant patient ride from Chris Parnham saw him ease her to the outside and from there she let down for soft 1.8L victory.

The win from Sapphire Street pushes her over the 100k mark in prizemoney from 9 career starts.
