Two for Ascot tomorrow

Oakland Park will be represented by two runners at Ascot on Saturday. The 3YO Helmet gelding Beethoven will be the first to step out in the benchmark 62+ race over 1200 metres. He ran sixth first-up over 1000 metres beaten 2.3 lengths. He will enjoy the extra 200 metres and has been a winner second-up last campaign. Already a winner of $189,000 in prize money and bonuses he should be very competitive.

Our tough 7YO Viscount gelding Pushin’ Shapes makes his return to racing when he lines up in the $100,000 Listed Grandstand Cup. What a thrill it was to see this fellow win at Caulfield last campaign.

He has been a marvellous horse for Oakland and our partners, having won $601,600 in prize money and bonuses.

Good luck to all.
