Two runners for Oakland Park in the Karrakatta Plate

Oakland Park will have two runners in the $500,000 Group 2 Karrakatta Plate Saturday.

Both gallopers are very promising types.

Pushin’ Shapes, by Oakland’s resident sire Viscount, was an impressive winner on debut, before finish a luckless third at his only other start.

Pushin’ Shapes is a half – brother to the Oakland Park bred Bombora, a winner of 7 races and $288,600 as well as multiple winners Danana Smoothie and Swiss Watch.

Our second runner is the Saxon gelding Saxophonist, who has won over the Karrakatta distance – 1200 metres, and has never finished further back than fifth in his four starts.

On the day we also have the smart 3YO filly Shengmu running in the 72+ bench mark race over 1000 metres. Shengmu has had 9 starts for 4 wins, 1 second, 1 third and $278,000 in prize money and bonuses.

Good luck to all our partners.
