Two Runners in the Group 3 WA Oaks

Oakland Park has two runners on the $250,000 Group 3 WA Oaks at Ascot on Saturday.

Talented filly Blackwood, who ran second in the Listed Natasha Stakes at her last start, will be very competitive again. Her record stands at 14 starts for 5 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds.

Our second runner, Fermentation, the full sister to Group winner Kincaple, steps up to stakes level for the first time.

The lightly raced Medaglia D’Oro gelding Cappo D’Oro will also step up to stakes class for the first time when he goes around in the $100,000 Listed Melvista Stakes. He is bred to stay and showed at his last start he can run out the distance.

We also have two runners in the 1800 metre benchmark 78+ event. North Ridge, a last start winner, who has been racing very competitively this campaign, goes into the race well placed as does Pushin’ Shapes who drops back in class having run 6 of 8 last start in the Listed Raconteur Stakes beaten 4.3 lengths.
