Undefeated Run Continues for Top Of The Pops

Different day, same result for the undefeated Oakland Park 2YO Top Of The Pops, bringing up his 4th victory in a row at Belmont on Saturday.

Send out a short-priced favourite, jockey Chris Parnham once again took up his customary role at the rear of the field allowing the son of Spirit Of Boom to find his feet in a muddlingly run race.

Approaching the turn, Parnham still had plenty of work to do with virtually the entire field in front of him still and carrying 59.5kg. Once they entered the straight however, Parnham was able make his run down the outside and was too classy for his rivals striding out to victory, continuing his perfect start to his career.

After the race Danny Morton said he was confident going into the race, but indicated the horse may go to a well earned short break.

Top Of The Pops by Oakland Park’s Molto Allegro has now won $143k in prizemoney for connections.
